Which openness do you need?
Openness factor is the single most important spec in solar screen fabric — it sets how much light, heat and view pass through. The lower the percentage, the more glare and heat you block, and the less you see out. Rule of thumb: bright southern or western exposures call for 1–3%; when preserving the view matters most, go 5–10%.
Solar screen is one of the fastest-growing categories in US window shading: it cuts glare and heat while keeping the view — which is why it now ships in everything from home-office roller shades to storefront glazing.
